Takachiho is Marukyu Koyamaen's highest grade Genmaicha. It is considered one of the best Genmaicha in Japan! It is a blend of excellent-quality Kabusecha (shaded green tea) and high-quality hard-roasted brown rice. Kabusecha is green tea that has been shaded for at least 3 weeks to bring out the umami. The shaded green tea gives it a mellow and savory flavor, while the brown rice gives it a rounded and roasted flavour.
