Takagamine is mellow and savory green with a very pleasant sweet aftertaste, and a really silky mouthfeel. It is made of leaves and stems of Imperial-quality Kabusecha, which is green tea that has been shaded for at least 3 weeks to bring out the umami. The stems give this tea an even sweeter and richer umami!
